Two channel video work

Upgrade Protocol is a two-channel video work exploring identity as a system of continuous self-optimisation. Examining the proliferation of cosmetic surgery content across social media platforms, the project draws on Jean Baudrillard’s concept of hyperreality, as outlined in Simulacra and Simulation (1981), to interrogate how digital culture reshapes the body into an endlessly modifiable image.
